COVID-19

Update

The current situation surrounding COVID-19 continues to pose many challenges for all businesses. We want to play our part in limiting the impacts on our customers and partners. The health and wellbeing of our colleagues and our customers remains our number one priority. We are continually reviewing and responding to guidance and advice from both the World Health Organisation and Government, and will update our processes and practices as necessary to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all.

Having reviewed the safety measures in place around hand hygiene and social distancing, new practices have been implemented which has allowed our factory in Poole to remain operational.

Our office staff are still on hand to help with existing projects or to provide new fan coil selections, with our sales teams able to hold meetings and CPDs online. To discuss a new or existing project or to speak to one of our fan coil specialists, email GDHV.contracting@glendimplex .com or call 01202 305 800.

Health and Safety at our Factory

In light of the increasing spread and threat of Covid-19, we took the decision on the 24th March to temporarily close our Poole factory for one day to review health and safety practices. This allowed us to fully digest the latest advice and information provided by the UK Government. This included the update from Government Minister, Michael Gove that “manufacturing and construction should continue”.

Having reviewed the safety measures in place around hand hygiene and social distancing, we implemented new practices at our factory and, once we were satisfied with the extent of these, decided that our Poole facility (Ability) will remain open for business. We aim for this to be the case so as long as is safe and practical for us to do so.

The suspension of production activities during our review period may cause some minor disruption and result in a slight delay to deliveries.

The well-being of our staff and customers from the threat of this virus is, of course, our top priority. These are unprecedented circumstances and we are already aware of site closures around the country; a situation which now appears to be escalating. We will continually monitor the situation and keep you updated, as we seek to play our part in combating this virus.
