138 Piccadilly - EON Productions

A character building overlooking Hyde Park Corner and occupied by world Famous EON Productions, producers of all the Bond Films and London's current hit musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

This building, over four floors plus a basement cinema, had fan coils probably installed over 25 years ago and located behind timber architectural cases. Many of the rooms retained a period style and this had to be preserved by replacing all the original fan coil units but leaving the cases and grilles where they had been.

This meant that there was a great deal of tailoring, especially by the contractor Kajima, as the project progressed.

Ability supplied fan coils with extra spigot pieces to try and speed up the process. Honeywell controls where utilised replacing an old 'Pneumatically actuated' system.
